Soufiane Ajana

Soufiane Ajana , PhD, FAAO

CEO of ReferFlow

Soufiane is the CEO of ReferFlow. A Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), he brings advanced expertise in eye care and vision science to ReferFlow's mission.

Before ReferFlow, he was the CEO and co-founder of RetiNov, a medtech company behind Tina, an at-home blood test designed to provide patients suffering from age-related macular degeneration (AMD) with actionable retinal insights to help them act on their disease progression.

Earlier in his career, Soufiane worked as a research scientist at the National Institute of Health in France, where he focused on developing machine learning algorithms to improve outcomes for patients at risk of vision loss.

He holds a master's degree in mathematics and statistics and completed business training at the renowned HEC Paris, combining analytical depth with the operational leadership needed to build and scale healthcare products.

Shantan Reddy

Shantan Reddy , MD, MPH

CMO of ReferFlow

Shantan is the CMO of ReferFlow. A nationally recognized retina specialist, he brings deep clinical expertise, operational insight, and a track record of innovation in expanding access to specialty eye care.

Before joining ReferFlow, Shantan built a high-volume medical and surgical retina practice at Duly Health & Care, one of the largest multispecialty groups in the country. He has led system-wide initiatives to modernize referral pathways, strengthen care coordination between optometry and retina, and improve access to time-sensitive treatments for conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusion.

Shantan has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications, served as faculty at major academic institutions, and lectured nationally on advances in retinal disease management and imaging. His leadership spans both patient care and practice growth, including operational strategy, evaluation of emerging technologies, and development of evidence-based, patient-centered care models.

He began his career at NYU and the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital (MEETH), followed by vitreoretinal surgical fellowship training at the world-renowned Jules Stein Eye Institute.

Adam Starr is the COO of ReferFlow. Before ReferFlow, Adam co-founded and helped build Fragrant Jewels, an e-commerce brand with over $200M in lifetime sales, overseeing marketing, growth strategy, and complex commercial, employment, and IP matters.

He later founded StratAlign Legal, a boutique practice focused on providing high-growth companies practical, business-first counsel on advertising compliance, digital marketing, and commercial relationships, and served as fractional general counsel for a high-growth telemedicine platform.

Adam began his career at Greenberg Traurig, where he spent over a decade advising companies across industries on sophisticated corporate matters. He holds a J.D. from UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) and a B.A. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Florent Delerue

Florent Delerue

Lead Developer of ReferFlow

Florent is the lead developer at ReferFlow and a full-stack engineer with over 15 years of experience building web and mobile applications. He holds a bachelor-level degree in computer science.

He previously served as lead developer at Retinov, a medtech company behind Tina, an at-home blood test designed to provide patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) actionable retinal insights to help them better understand and act on their disease progression.

Earlier in his career, Florent spent four years at Monali, where he worked on patient flow and care management systems. He also contributed to the development of a medical mobile application covering the full patient journey, from hospital admission to discharge, including coordination with home nurses and pharmacies.

Florent later spent five years at NuxtLabs, the company behind the Nuxt framework for Vue.js. An open-source enthusiast, he actively contributed to community projects and brings strong expertise in modern frontend architectures, scalable systems, and production-grade applications.
